HERA Ambassadors are a select group of passionate advocates who represent the HERA Women’s Cancer Foundation and further our mission to stop the loss of women from ovarian cancer by promoting Health, Empowerment, Research and Awareness.
HERA Ambassadors represent the organization at local events that raise awareness about the symptoms of ovarian cancer and fundraise for our grants programs. Ambassadors attend local health fairs, bike races, farmers’ markets, Climb4Life weekends, running events, or any other creative event that local communities put together. HERA Ambassadors are even on hand at roller derby bouts! These dedicated volunteers are constantly turning their passion into action to support our mission and help save women’s lives.
At events, ambassadors hand out symptom cards and brochures, help raise funds for research, promote the Foundation, and increase awareness about the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer in their communities. Ambassadors are a critical part of HERA’s commitment to ending ovarian cancer. Through education and fundraising, HERA’s ambassadors help us have a presence in various communities around the country. It’s all about outreach!
We can’t do it alone. Become a HERA Ambassador by clicking on the application link now!
As a HERA Ambassador, we’ll provide you with the tools for success: symptom cards, brochures, teal bracelets, etc. You’ll receive training on the HERA Women’s Cancer Foundation and the facts about ovarian cancer. It’s fun, it’s rewarding, it’s a blast!
Another way to get involved? Put together your own event in your own community. HERA Ambassadors organize birthday celebrations, silent auctions, sky diving parties, motorcycle rides, or other creative events to raise awareness about ovarian cancer.
