An annual rock climbing event with an after-party! Not only is it a fundraiser, it's an inspirational event encouraging participants to go beyond their comfort zone, challenge their mental and physical capabilities, and push past the limitations we all place on ourselves. Expect climbing clinics, yoga, live music, food, drinks, silent and live auctions! Participate in as many or as few of the events as you like. All ticket holders will receive a custom goodie bag filled with delicious and great gifts from some of our sponsors. Proceeds fund grants that we award to scientists with “outside the box” ideas investigating new directions in basic research, treatment, early detection, and prevention of ovarian cancer.

Origin
Our signature fundraising event Climb4Life began in 2002 alongside HERA
Ovarian Cancer Foundation by founder Sean Patrick while recovering from
her 7th ovarian cancer surgery. Being an avid rock climber, she felt an event
centered on rock climbing would present ovarian cancer in a different light and
get more people involved in the cause.
Climb4Life has since grown into a series and is now a multi-city program supported by
numerous partners and attracting hundreds of participants in Washington, D.C., Salt Lake City, and Boulder, Colorado.
Funds raised through these events provide scientific research grants, as well as education and awareness initiatives.

Whether you’re a beginner climber or hiker, an experienced mountaineer, a courageous cancer survivor, a person who knows someone affected by cancer, or just looking for an incredibly fun event – Climb4Life is for you! Each event is unique and reflective of the local communities that host them, providing climbing, hiking, yoga, live music, and much more – in beautiful settings with professional athletes and guides and those who support ovarian cancer research.
Rock climbing encompasses problem solving, taking calculated risks and physical and mental challenges, which ovarian cancer patients also face on a daily basis.
HERA’s Climb4Life events are a cornerstone in helping accomplish our mission to eliminate ovarian cancer by promoting Health, Empowerment, Research, and Awareness. Climb4Life provides an excellent forum for empowering women and supporting awareness of the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer.
